A recent article in the NYPost discusses why many in the Corporate world are turning to Naturopathic Medicine and IV therapy to enhance their energy, mood, and decrease their stress.
This is an exciting mention to Naturopathic Doctors across the nation who have been practicing this ancient, holistic practice for hundreds of years.
Having offered IV Vitamin Infusion Therapy for years, I am finding that one of the best options for people under stress, are my high-potency blend of natural vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. I encounter many managers, team leaders, as well as parents who are under chronic stress (while having to endure the constant needs of others) are the ones in need of my IV Infusions most.
Patients come into the office to keep their immune systems strong, energy high, and minds more focused. They may feel the positive effects almost immediately, others within 36 hours, with visits recommended once weekly for six weeks, and then as needed.
Every single IV is individualized and custom-made to the exact needs of the patient. It is not addictive like sugar, because it goes right into your veins and not into your mouth. It is simply nutrition.
Be wary of other IV Centers offering something similar. They are often run by conventional Doctors ill-equipped in the knowledge and training to prepare Nutritional IV Therapy. Most also add medications to their IVs, as to enhance their results, as opposed to letting the body receive what it needs, NATURALLY.
If you are looking to receive an IV and are not located in Orange County, California, look for a Naturopathic Doctor that has the proper credentials and training to help you best.
Why Dr. Nirvana’s IV are Superior to the other IV Clinics:
Dr. Nirvana’s IV formulations are unique to standard IVs and use only ingredients of the highest possible grade, produced here in the United States. All of Dr. Nirvana’s IV’s include her very own proprietary blend of botanicals, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that are combined in such a manner to maximize absorption in the body. As a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Nirvana has extensive training in the formulation and administration of appropriate nutritional IV compounding preparations, to produce a gold-standard for Nutritional IVs. Because of this, all of the IV’s are custom-made to your body’s exact nutritional requirements for optimum efficacy. Traditional Doctors such as MDs, DOs and those practicing “functional medicine”, have little, if any, formal training in each of these areas and most have RN’s or Nursing Assistants administering the IVs. However, Dr. Nirvana works directly with each patient to ensure their proper healing and while implementing safe IV practices. She spends a great deal of time researching the latest and best advances in Nutrition and IV Therapy, ensuring that her patients have the very best care possible.

If you find yourself suffering from constant stomach issues such as Leaky Gut, Irritable Bowel, or IBS, then you may be suffering from a simple vitamin deficiency.
Various studies have shown that high levels of vitamin D3 help heal the gut issues. You see, the lining of our gut is only one cell thick. These cells are all locked in what is known as tight barrier junctions. Once that gut wall is penetrated (by lectins in our food, inflammatory food allergens such as gluten, or more than a couple of glasses of wine or liquor) the cell walls become inflamed and allow for the food to penetrate into the blood as opposed to being absorbed by the GI. It is the job of gut stem cells to rapidly grow and seal the gaps that form, but these stem cells need vitamin D to grow.
Interestingly enough, when the stomach or intestines are compromised, you are unable to absorb the proper nutrients your body needs to survive. These nutrients include, water-soluble vitamins such as Vitamin B, antioxidants such as Vitamin C, and fat-soluble vitamins such as Vitamin D. There in itself, is a never ending cause and effect constantly spinning towards the direction of disease.
How can you Heal your Gut?
While sunlight exposure is a great idea, realistically, if it’s snowing or raining where you live, it’s not going to happen. No one is going to sunbathe everyday. Plus, for half the year, the sun is too low in the sky. Even in Southern California, a large percentage of people are vitamin D deficient. In sunny California! Why? Largely because our use of sunscreens has caused undue damage to our collective health, including plummeting our levels of vitamin D.
While supplementing vitamin D orally can help, in generally does not seem to be enough when it comes to healing the body. The oral administration of vitamins is more of a burden, than a help when gut absorption is hindered.
So what can you do? When treating any gut issue, receiving weekly vitamin D shots while temporarily receiving intravenous administration of vitamins and antioxidants would be your best course of action. The nutrients received from an IV or intramuscular injection are absorbed one hundred percent and immediately allowing your body the opportunity to heal quickly.
If you find yourself suffering from any GI related issues, contact us here, to schedule your appointment for an IV or stop by the Vitamin Shot Bar to receive your Vitamin D (aka Sunshine Shot) today.
Herbal Remedies to Naturally Boost your Immune System
Do you feel a little tickle in your throat or looking for natural alternatives besides antibiotics to fight your oncoming cold or flu?
Here are couple of my favorite herbal remedies that pack a medicinal and natural punch:
Marshmallow Root soothes irritated throats and can reduce dry coughing and strengthen your immunity. Make your own marshmallow root cough drops with this recipe: Combine 1 tablespoon powdered marshmallow root, 1 tablespoon powdered slippery elm root, and 1 ½ teaspoons of honey until you get a paste. Scoop onto a plate or cookie sheet and refrigerate for a few hours until they harden. If you don’t have time to DIY, try a marshmallow tincture.
Chamomile is soothing and can relieve nausea and stomach cramping. This soothing herbal tea blend will calm your stomach and your mind. Simply blend these dried ingredients together: ½ cup dried chamomile, ½ cup dried hops, ½ cup dried lemon balm, ½ cup dried catnip, and ½ cup dried spearmint. Store in a jar, and then when you need it, put one heaping teaspoon in a tea ball and steep for 5 minutes in one cup of boiling water. If you don’t have time to DIY, you can find chamomile tea at most grocery stores.
Sinus Congestion: (This is my #1 recommended treatment I tell my patients)
Eucalyptus oil is known for being an anti-inflammatory and a decongestant, and the best way to get this into your sinuses is through steam. Boil a pot of water and then take off the stove. Add a few drops of eucalyptus oil, and breathe in the steam. You may want to let the water cool down a bit so that you don’t burn your face. It can also be helpful to put a towel over your head and the pot.
Elderberries are filled with bioflavonoids and flavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants, and are antiviral and antibacterial. You can take an elderberry remedy every few hours, but it is important to note that you should not eat elderberries raw as they can be poisonous! That being said, an elderberry tincture would be a great go-to!
Still feeling sick despite your natural efforts? Make an appointment for an ANTI-OX Immune Booster.
Splash your face with cold water to reduce redness and puffiness. Fill your bathroom sink with cold water and toss in 15 ice cubes. Pour one-third of a cup of natural, alcohol-free witch hazel into the water and dunk! Repeat this for about five to ten times.
Why? Cold ❄️ temperatures shrink capillaries and stimulate drainage while witch hazel has natural anti-inflammatory, puffiness-reducing properties.
How does dehydration effect your skin? It depletes water and antioxidants out of the skin and also increases blood flow and dilates blood vessels, causing redness and puffiness.
Use hydrating ingredients to put water back into your thirsty skin cells. Most people think they need to over-moisturize by layering on a heavy, greasy cream, but really the focus needs to be about putting water back in the skin, not oil, since alcohol depletes mostly the water.
Drench thirsty skin cells and restore them to a healthier state with a Hydration IV. Contact us here, to schedule your appointment.
Knowing What is in Your IV and Finding the BEST IV for YOUR Needs
They may look the same @olsentwins but they are not made the same.
While there may be other IV centers offering similar IVs to Dr. Nirvana’s, most are made using medications (such as Hangover IVs).
Dr. Nirvana’s IVs are created from her years of expertise in Naturopathic Medicine and she tailors each IV to the patient’s needs. Great medicine, takes years of practice and education.
Most IV centers are run by MDs & DOs who have no training in nutrition. How could they create a nutritional IV perfect for you?
There are various IV centers you can walk-in to receive an IV, without even a brief consultation. How do you know how long the IV has been sitting there? Would you buy food that doesn’t have an expiration date on it? If not, why would you want to use an IV that has no guarantee as to when it was made, and for whom?
Honor your body and what you put into it, including IVs!

When it comes to beauty it’s vital to have your skin looking good from the inside rather than just applying products on your skin. Here’s a list of a few of my favorite supplements to help you glow from the inside out.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids- essential fatty acids supply hydration to the skin and prevent inflammation. They also work in balancing hormones and preventing wrinkles. A good source of Omega 3s can be found in foods such as herring, mackerel, anchovies, and sardines. ?B-Vitamins – If you find your skin lacking color and luster, you may be deficient in B-vitamins. Most people suffering from Anemia are prone to skin that tends to look dull or dry. Foods such as poultry, dairy, brewers yeast, and eggs. ?Vitamin C – This potent antioxidant is vital for the formation of collagen in the skin and is highly involved in the repair and synthesis of all tissues in the body. If you find your skin sagging more, lacking brilliance and developing blotches, then eat more foods such as papaya, bell peppers and raw broccoli.
